The Common Pardillana doesn't move more than necessary.

This one didn't mind me getting quite close with the camera, and when it did move, didn't fly too far before trying to rely on its natural camouflage to protect it again.

At this particular spot, it was also being bugged by an ant (pun intended). In the photo the ant can be seen nipping the grasshopper's back leg. A split second later the ant discovered what it was like to fly, landing half a metre behind the grasshopper.

Unperturbed, the ant made a bee-line (sorry again) back to the grasshopper and continued to harass it, until between the two of us, the grasshopper had had enough and flew off on burnt-yellow wings out of sight amongst the trees, seeking a quieter spot, no doubt.
